Hi PH,

It's spam - they send it to random_name@yourdomain.com and it comes through to you both as you're both setup as the catch-all address recipients. As soon as you purchase a domain, spammers will know and immediately start emailing random, common email addresses.

To minimise this type of spam, it is best to set the catchall to reject messages not sent to a valid email address and then make sure you have all the necessary email addresses accurately setup.

Regards,

Yvan

Using device manager check to see if there's a big X through the sound card. Check the cables that connect the speakers to the sound card. Double check they a plugged in, powered on, and the volume is turned up. If all of these checks are ok then look for replacement drivers. Select the right ones for your dekstop operating system and and hardware. Check the manufactures support pages.
Reinstall the drivers and see if that cures things. What I do in addition to all of the above if I have a desktop device that is giving me trouble is I remove the device using device manager and reboot. The plug-and-play features will reinstalle the device. Often re-enumerating, installing the drivers again and often this works.
